About the job Line Man
We are seeking some skilled and energetic "Line Man" to join a Lebanese restaurant specializing in Lebanese cuisine and pastries. The Line Man shall play a crucial role in the kitchen's day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient food preparation, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the kitchen team.
The ideal candidates should have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, familiarity with Lebanese cuisine, and strong teamwork skills.
Line Man Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and kitchen requirements.
- Operating cooking equipment, such as grills, stoves, fryers, and ovens, to cook and prepare a variety of Lebanese dishes.
- Ensuring the proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.
- Assisting the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in coordinating and executing menu items during service.
- Following recipes, portion control guidelines, and plating standards to ensure consistent and high-quality food presentation.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control.
Line Man Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Lebanese cuisine is highly desirable.
- Culinary degree or relevant training is a plus.
- Basic culinary skills, including knife handling, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
