About the job Line Man

We are seeking some skilled and energetic "Line Man" to join a Lebanese restaurant specializing in Lebanese cuisine and pastries. The Line Man shall play a crucial role in the kitchen's day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient food preparation, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the kitchen team. 

The ideal candidates should have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, familiarity with Lebanese cuisine, and strong teamwork skills.

Line Man Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and kitchen requirements.
  • Operating cooking equipment, such as grills, stoves, fryers, and ovens, to cook and prepare a variety of Lebanese dishes.
  • Ensuring the proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Assisting the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in coordinating and executing menu items during service.
  • Following recipes, portion control guidelines, and plating standards to ensure consistent and high-quality food presentation.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
  • Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control.

Line Man Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Lebanese cuisine is highly desirable.
  • Culinary degree or relevant training is a plus.
  • Basic culinary skills, including knife handling, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
