About the job Project Director
Our client is a leading contracting company in Saudi Arabia, seeking a skilled and experienced Project Director to join their team. As a Project Director, you will lead and manage project execution teams and technical teams, ensuring the successful execution of large Infrastructure projects adhering to quality and safety standards, and fostering client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing the whole construction cycle of the project and managing the different departments to ensure smooth execution, meeting milestones and handing over the project.
- Develop the strategy and execution plan on large capital projects.
- Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships.
- Deliver on all technical and commercial aspects of the project as per the contract requirements.
- Manage all programme risk and contingencies.
- Manage the Project Managers performance of delegated responsibility.
- Manage the achievement of department objectives through effective leadership and by managing the setting of individual objectives, monitoring, and measuring performance, and developing and motivating the team to maximize performance.
- Manage the consolidation and recommend the Project budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget to identify any variances or performance improvement areas.
- Lead and monitor the implementation and adherence of department/project policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
- Monitor the Quality-Safety-Environment (QSE) of his project and running a monthly site visit.
Qualifications:
- 25+ years of professional experience in Project Management in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, of which 10 years have been in the Middle East.
- Experience in leading on infrastructure mega projects including landscape/hardscape, water treatment plant, utilities, drainage, buildings, MEP special systems and public realm, roads & bridges.
- A minimum of 15 years operating at senior management and director level.
- Proven success in the delivery of large capital projects within scope, time and budget.
- Experience in the planning, managing and successfully delivering on projects involving numerous stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead, organize and direct large multi-national organization.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of governing bodies, committees, and regulatory organizations within KSA.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university. (Preferably Civil Engineering)
- Masters degree is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; Fluency in Arabic and English.
