Our client, a leading contracting company, is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Djibouti, Africa. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing electrical installations, conducting testing, and providing site supervision to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components for various construction projects.
  • Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Supervise electrical installation activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to integrate electrical systems into overall project plans.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and testing results.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues during the testing phase, providing effective solutions to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety standards in all electrical work.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical input and updates as required.
  • Maintain strong communication with contractors and stakeholders to facilitate project execution and address any challenges.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, testing, and site supervision.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic; French is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuit design, and testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering software and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
