About the job Sales & Category Development Manager

We're seeking to hire a motivated and experienced "Sales & Category Development Manager". The successful candidate shall be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive sales growth and category development.

The ideal one shall in charge of ensuring the successful execution of promotional activities, developing relationships with key customers, and managing the sales and category development team to develop and implement strategies that increase market share and profitability.

Sales & Category Development Manager key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth and category development.
  • Analyze sales and market data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key customers.
  • Oversee the execution of promotional activities.
  • Monitor the performance of sales and category development initiatives.
  • Track and report on sales and category development performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members with adequate trainings, coaching and mentoring to ensure property and proper career paths.
  • Approves the brand marketing activities and development of in-store & POS material in order to ensure top quality
  • Monitors the dynamics of the brands category through conducting field visits and requesting data from the field in order
    to develop the necessary activities. (Competitors, pricing, range, activities, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism in all business dealings.
  • Develop and implement promotional and marketing programs to drive product sales and increase brand awareness.

Sales & Category Development Manager skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, MBA is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in brand management/ Sales managerial role.
  • 3 - 4 years of Sales experience is a must
  • FMCG experience is a must
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful strategies.
  • Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent computer skills
