We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Technician to join our client's JLR service center in Baghdad, Iraq. As a Diagnostic Technician, you will be responsible for accurately diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle issues across our wide range of customer vehicles. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics using state-of-the-art equipment and software to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic system failures.
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections, road tests, and bench tests to accurately pinpoint the root causes of vehicle problems.
  • Perform complex repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical system overhaul and replacement.
  • Maintain detailed service records, including parts used, labor hours, and customer information.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both the team and customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technical information, service procedures, and product updates provided by vehicle manufacturers.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior technicians to help develop their skills and expertise.
  • Collaborate with the service advisor team to provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns.
  • Stay updated with the latest technical information and service procedures provided by Jaguar Land Rover, attending training programs as required.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 certification in automotive repair is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician or similar role, preferably in a JLR service center.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in diagnosing and repairing JLR and/or premium vehicles.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the service team and provide clear explanations to customers.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
