About the job Diagnostic Technician
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Technician to join our client's JLR service center in Baghdad, Iraq. As a Diagnostic Technician, you will be responsible for accurately diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle issues across our wide range of customer vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics using state-of-the-art equipment and software to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic system failures.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections, road tests, and bench tests to accurately pinpoint the root causes of vehicle problems.
- Perform complex repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical system overhaul and replacement.
- Maintain detailed service records, including parts used, labor hours, and customer information.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both the team and customers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technical information, service procedures, and product updates provided by vehicle manufacturers.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior technicians to help develop their skills and expertise.
- Collaborate with the service advisor team to provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns.
- Stay updated with the latest technical information and service procedures provided by Jaguar Land Rover, attending training programs as required.
Requirements:
- Level 3 certification in automotive repair is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician or similar role, preferably in a JLR service center.
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise in diagnosing and repairing JLR and/or premium vehicles.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, and electronic components.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the service team and provide clear explanations to customers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
