Our Client in Jeddah is looking for a Saudi Purchasing officer to join their team you will responsible for the procurement of goods and services required by the organization. This role involves identifying vendors, negotiating contracts, placing orders, and monitoring deliveries to ensure the timely supply of materials and equipment. The Purchasing Officer works closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and procure the necessary items within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify reliable vendors and suppliers that can meet the organization's needs
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors
  • Process purchase orders and track the status of orders to ensure on-time delivery
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all procurement activities, contracts, and vendor information
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with deliveries, invoices, or vendor performance
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and priorities
  • Suggest process improvements and identify cost-saving opportunities in the procurement function
  • Ensure compliance with the organization's procurement policies and procedures
  • Prepare periodic reports on purchasing activities, spend, and vendor performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a medium-to-large organization
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using procurement software, spreadsheets, and database applications
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles, sourcing strategies, and contract management
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
