Our client who is a leading third party engineering firm specialized in Testing, Inspection, Certification, Engineering Services and Knowledge & Education in the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia is looking for a "Head of Concrete Technology" to join their team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
- Duties and Responsibilities
1- Master the different practices of ACTS Concrete Technology Consultancy including the Concrete Specifications Writing, Concrete Constituent Materials Evaluation, Concrete related Materials Assessment, Special Concrete Mixes Design, Batching Plant Inspection, Concrete quality control and quality assurance, Concrete Rheology Study, Concrete Construction Consultancy Services, Concrete Cracking Modeling, Concrete Accelerated Curing, concrete hardened properties assessment, Hot Weather Concrete, Concrete Properties Statistical Analysis, Concrete Durability Study, concrete Service Life Assessment, concrete Life Cycle Assessment, corrosion testing, mass concrete, existing concrete structural concrete structural assessment, precast/prestressed concrete, Concrete Pavements Quality Control, Design of Concrete for Slab-on-grades, Reinforcing Steel Inspection, Formwork Inspection, Slip form work Design, Concrete Coating Design, Concrete In-Situ Strength Evaluation, concrete non-destructive testing, Concrete Repair Consultancy, Slab Load Test, Bridge Load Testing, Bridge Inspections, bridge Maintenance Management System, and Concrete Piles Non-Destructive-Testing.
2- Continuously train senior technologists, materials engineers, and senior inspector on the topics related to the concrete technology consultancy works.
3- Meeting interested clients and presenting to them the divisions services.
4- Identify potential projects where the concrete technology services will be needed.
5- Raising awareness in the market regarding the importance and efficiency of the concrete technology consultancy services.
6- Set a yearly budget that ensure growth of the divisions financials. The budget should include the forecast sales and expected expenditures, both which have a mechanism of achieving them.
7- Set, convey, and monitor the monthly key performance indicators for the team.
8- Directs and coordinates activities of the organization to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits.
9- To follow the daily operations of all the division and support the working personnel in the achievement of their goals.
10- To protect and develop the resources of the organization.
11- To achieve commercial profitability and maximum productivity. To emphasize the image of the organization under its different activities.
12- Manages the organization under the scope of its Mission Statement and Quality Policy.
13- Plans, develops and implements organization policies and goals.
14- To ensure that those, who have responsibilities defined in the QMS are competent on the basis of applicable education, training, skill and experience.
15- Follows up daily the accounts Division activities and ensures the smooth coordination with the other Divisions.
16- Coordinates activities of the Material Testing, Geotechnical, Purchasing, and Commercial, that are relevant to work of the division.
17- Representation, Quality Assurance, Administration, and Research and Development Divisions to effect operational efficiency and economy.
18- Directs and coordinates promotion of services performed to develop new markets, increase market share, and achieve competitive position in the marketplace.
19- Analyzes Division budget and purchase requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made and allocates operating budget.
20- Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required.
21- Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrator outlining policy, program, or operations changes to be implemented.
22- Promotes organization in industry, trade and technical associations.
23- Prepares and launches expansion activities.
24- Follows the implementation of the Quality Management system and ensures the overall commitment of the organization to its maintenance and improvement.
25- Supervise the recruitment of the vacant position.
- Qualification
Education/Experience:
Master's degree (M.S.) or equivalent and ten years of relevant experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Math Ability:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
