About the job Chef Shawarma

We are seeking a skilled and passionate "Chef Shawarma" to join a Lebanese restaurant specializing in Lebanese cuisine and pastries. The Chef Shawarma shall be responsible for leading the Shawarma section, overseeing the preparation, marination, cooking, and serving of delicious and authentic Lebanese Shawarma. 

The ideal candidate should have expertise in Lebanese cuisine, particularly in Shawarma preparation, and possess a strong culinary background.

Chef Shawarma Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leading the Shawarma section, including preparing, marinating, cooking, and serving Lebanese Shawarma.
  • Developing and refining recipes for Shawarma marinades, seasonings, and sauces to ensure authentic and flavorful results.
  • Managing the Shawarma cooking team, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Ensuring the highest quality standards for taste, texture, and presentation of Shawarma dishes.
  • Collaborating with the Head Chef to create new Shawarma variations and incorporate innovative flavors and ingredients.
  • Monitoring inventory levels of Shawarma ingredients, placing orders, and managing stock control to minimize wastage.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized Shawarma section, adhering to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Staying updated on culinary trends, techniques, and innovations in Lebanese cuisine, particularly in Shawarma preparation.

Chef Shawarma Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef Shawarma or in a similar role.
  • Culinary degree or relevant training is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Lebanese cuisine is a plus.
  • Creativity in developing new shawarma dishes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
