The Stock Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, from storage to distribution and tracking. The primary goal is to maintain an efficient and cost-effective stock system while ensuring that products are readily available to meet customer demand.
Job Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure they align with company -goals, minimizing overstock and stock-outs.
Storage and Organization:
Implement efficient storage and shelving systems to maximize space and accessibility.
Ensure inventory is stored properly and securely.
Stock Receiving:
Oversee the receipt of new stock, inspecting for quality, accuracy, and proper documentation.
Stock Distribution:
Develop and implement strategies for the efficient distribution of products to various locations, departments, or customers.
Inventory Tracking:
Utilize inventory management software and systems to track stock levels, movement, and turnover rates.
Conduct regular stock audits to reconcile discrepancies.
Forecasting:
Use historical data and trends to forecast demand, allowing for better planning and stock ordering.
Inventory Optimization:
Implement strategies to reduce slow-moving or obsolete stock and ensure timely turnover of products.
Reporting:
Prepare and present reports on stock levels, turnover, and any inventory-related issues to management.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management and control.
