About the job Accounting Manager
We are looking for a knowledgeable Accounting Manager to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities. The Accounting Manager is responsible for driving team performance and getting the most out of individual contributors.
A reliable Accounting Manager shall delegate, supervise, and participate in accounting department tasks, oversee the recording, tracking, and reporting of financial information, hire, train, and motivate accounting staff members, develop and implement department controls and procedures, and ensure that the department operates efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.
Accounting Manager duties and responsibilities
- Plan, implement and oversee overall accounting strategy
- Oversee accounting daily operations
- Coordinate, perform and complete annual audits
- Manage the company's financial accounts, payrolls, budget, cash receipts and financial assets
- Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and regularly produce financial reports or statements
- Establish and adhere to proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Prepare and present KPIs to stakeholders
- Encourage other employees to adhere to standards
- Recruit, train and hire new employees
- Provide recommendations
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
Accounting Manager skills and qualifications
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Proficient in tax preparation software and databases
- Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Superior data management and data analysis skills
- Strong time management, supervisory and organizational skills
- High detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Strong leadership, ability to direct and supervise
- Must be highly motivated and have the ability to function independently and multi-task
- Critical thinker and problem, conflicts and complaints-solving skills
- Sense of ownership and pride in the performance and its impact on company's success
