This position is on-site in Doha, Qatar.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a team responsible for completing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) of new vehicles. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Conducting brief test-drives of vehicles
  • Reviewing vehicle components
  • Performing exterior inspections
  • Identifying transit damage

2. Develop and continuously improve company processes for effective quality control during the pre-delivery inspection of vehicles.

3. Ensure that new vehicles are cleaned and detailed to high standards before they are delivered to the stockyard/Sales Department.

4. Generate detailed reports and identify trends for any issues discovered during the pre-delivery inspection.

5. Share quality issues found during PDI with the service department/regional office technical team to report concerns and collaborate on finding solutions.

6. Maintain accurate records of all completed PDIs and new vehicle arrivals.

7. Coordinate with Delivery, Sales, and Service teams to incorporate their needs and requirements into the PDI process.

8. Display a complete understanding of internal and external compliance standards that vehicles must meet to move through the company's PDI process. Immediately escalate concerns regarding vehicles that do not adhere to these standards.

9. Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to vehicle preparation, such as PDI completion rate, time taken for PDI, and customer satisfaction with vehicle condition upon delivery.

10. Control expenses related to PDI operations, ensuring cost-effective processes, and optimizing resource allocation.

11. Manage the income statement for the PDI department, tracking expenses and revenue to ensure profitability.

12. Take initiatives to streamline communication between new car sales, parts department, and PDI, fostering efficient collaboration and information sharing.

Team Management:

1. Effectively manage a team of technicians through leadership and guidance.

2. Conduct performance management activities and set goals with team members.

3. Establish a culture of accountability within the team by empowering individuals and assigning clear responsibilities.

4. Assist with recruiting and building an effective PDI team.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in managing and leading a team is required for this role.

2. 3-5+ years of experience in an automotive service or inspection role is required.

3. High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in spreadsheets.

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across departments.

5. Strong team player with exceptional leadership and coaching skills.

6. Innovative and creative mindset.

7. Demonstrates initiative to develop and implement process improvements, with a continuous improvement outlook.

8. Adheres to health and safety standards and emphasizes their importance to team members.
