Top Gun Staffing Group LLC has partnered with an employee benefits TPA (third-party administrator) to identify a Software Developer to join their team on a permanent, direct-hire basis. This role is 100% REMOTE for candidates living outside a 50-mile radius from South Burlington, VT or Exeter, NH! The ideal candidate will have previous experience in healthcare, employee benefits, or EDI, particularly in a B2B and/or B2C environment.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into software solutions adhering to the architecture and technical standards of the strategic business unit.
- Develop, maintain and refactor in-house data extract/transformation console applications and web-based workflow management utilities.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, contributing to software development standards, code reviews, and version control.
- Act as a technical resource for server-based third-party applications within the AppDev team scope, ensuring smooth operations and troubleshooting as needed.
- Monitor and address daily performance events, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
- Coordinates the creation of policies and procedures by the software architecture/technical standards working group, with primary focus on architecture.
- Assists in developing the company software product roadmap, makes design and product recommendations.
- Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice, coaching, code reviews and educational opportunities.

Qualifications:
- BS Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- 5 years of experience in a software engineering capacity.
- Self-starter with the ability to independently solve problems and collaborate effectively within the team and with end users.
- Proficiency in C#, SQL (Microsoft or PostgreSQL), and Visual Studio. Experience with Blazor or ReactJS is advantageous.
- Continuous update of job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, or participating in professional organizations.
- Experience creating and maintaining API interfaces.
- Demonstrated expertise in SQL/LINQ or Blazor or previous experience in a third- party medical benefits administration enterprise.
Hours:
- Monday -- Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Salary / Benefits:
- $95,000 - $110,000/year commensurate with experience PLUS generous benefits package.
