IT Operations Senior Associate / Manager - Virtual Asset Trading Platform Role

Company

Our client is a company applying to the virtual asset trading platform SFC type 1 and 7 licenses in Hong Kong. 

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, systems, networks and applications for security, availability, stability, capacity and performance.
  • Assist end-users with support requests, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and application functionality queries.
  • Resolve application-related incidents and problems, escalate when needed, and collaborate with teams for resolution.
  • Contribute to service operations, ticket management, and SLA adherence.
  • Support application deployments and upgrades, coordinate with R&D and DevOps teams, and assist with documentation and change execution.
  • Adhere to security policies, and report incidents or vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain process documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing systems.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Experience in IT operations support especially on trading platforms, cloud, web and mobile application infrastructure support.
  • Good understanding of financial markets and trading operations of any of the asset class i.e., Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives or Digital Asset (Cryptocurrency).
  • Familiarity with business applications and their functionalities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills for end-user interactions.
  • Basic knowledge of IT security principles and compliance.
  • Proficiency in ITSM tools or support ticketing systems is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications or coursework in IT support or ops is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and practices is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English, be able to read and converse in Mandarin and Cantonese
