Product Manager
The Product Manager is responsible for developing and executing tactical plans for a specified market segment or assigned products. The Product Manager works collaboratively with internal teams to ensure that market strategies are based on customer insights in order to achieve business objectives and gain competitive advantage.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Be the company's expert in all relevant aspects of the allocated products and customer area, including product and technical knowledge, applications, and target markets.
- Develop marketing plans to ensure the attainment of existing and new business objectives for the given portfolio.
- Analyze sales data, economic indicators, industry trends, and customer needs to develop and execute marketing strategies and tactics, including product positioning, pricing, and distribution channels.
- Evaluate and monitor local competition and recommend strategies for market share growth, protection, and development that can be integrated into marketing plans.
- Localize unique and differentiated value propositions and craft messaging tailored to various external stakeholders.
- Develop marketing programs and campaigns to attract potential customers and maximize volume from current customers, as well as develop marketing programs with key opinion leaders in the local market.
- Collaborate with the entire marketing, sales, service, project, and sales channel partner teams to execute targeted marketing campaigns, including identifying targets and developing messages.
- Manage product portfolio configuration, product mix, pricing, and any marketing activities.
- Develop a successful marketing strategy to meet and implement both short- and long-term objectives in the specified market segment.
- Develop compelling product positioning and value proposition in the specified market segment.
- Develop a local product launch plan.
- Support each stage of the sales cycle with key marketing deliverables such as product and application training, presentations, sales aids and tools, and collateral used by the sales team, application specialists, and sales channel partners.
- Prepare the annual marketing plan and provide input to budgets to direct company efforts to achieve maximum sales and profits, based on company goals and departmental objectives.
- Monitor customer requirements for product performance by interacting closely with customers and field sales representatives to identify and translate customer needs into new products.
- Control and manage marketing plan spending and assist in the creation of the total annual marketing budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices.
- Experience with market research, analysis, and planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Fluent in English.
