Workshop Shoe Repairer

Workshop Shoe Colleague for Timpson, a Service Based Retail Company.

Job Type: Permanent - Full Time.

Hours - 7.45am - 4pm (Monday - Friday)

Wage: 12.25ph - 12.30ph

Location: Thorn Cross Prison, Appleton, Warrington.

We have an exciting opportunity at our excellence centre in Thorn Cross workshop to bring on a workshop Colleague and help grow the shoe repair business for the Timpson branches. 

We have the same philosophy as other excellence centres, where we strive to deliver technical and difficult work to support the business. We are fortunate to have 17 highly experienced colleagues, all with excellent standards, to accomplish the daily jobs that arrive in the workshop. The team at Thorn Cross have achieved some remarkable results on repairs that would have seemed impossible at first glance. From shoe repairs to patching & stitching, we have the knowledge and expertise to make the impossible become possible.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Monitor, maintain and enhance standards within the workshop

• Prioritise work in a demanding environment

• To ensure that any damaged material on received customer footwear is removed effectively and replaced with the correct materials to a given standard.
