Role: Duty Manager – High-End Residential Development (Nine Elms)
Schedule: 5 days per week (42.5 hours)
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 + 28 days holiday
Reporting to: Development Manager / General Manager
Shift pattern: 07:00–16:00 or 13:00–22:00 (1-hour unpaid break)

We are currently recruiting for 2 Duty Managers with a strong front desk and service-led focus. Ideally coming from a hotel or co-working/workplace background.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of the development
  • Acting as the main point of contact for residents, visitors, contractors, and team members
  • Leading and managing the on-site team to maintain high service standards
  • Handling disciplinary matters and managing difficult conversations confidently
  • Supporting recruitment, inductions, training plans, and ongoing staff development
  • Ensuring SOPs, procedures, and HR policies are followed consistently
  • Working closely with contractors and internal teams to ensure contracts are delivered effectively
  • Monitoring contractor performance and standards
  • Supporting asset management and mobilisation processes, ensuring tasks are completed and recorded correctly
  • Taking ownership of Health & Safety, identifying risks and ensuring compliance
  • Handling incidents, complaints, and queries in a professional manner
  • Supporting the team during staff shortages to maintain service levels

Candidate profile:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Duty Manager or similar role
  • Background in residential, hospitality, customer service, or facilities management
  • Strong team leadership experience (hotel or co-working/workplace preferred)
  • Confident managing people, including performance and disciplinary processes
  • Experience with inductions, training, and working with SOPs
  • Good understanding of building operations and contractor management
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Able to prioritise, delegate, and manage changing demands
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work
  • Calm under pressure with a solution-focused mindset
  • Must have the right to work in the UK

  • Exposure to areas such as inspections, finance, and contract management
