Location: Kensington, London
Salary: £37,000 - £43,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
Hours: 5 days a week, 9:00am - 5:30pm (flexibility required), with a weekend duty management rota
Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join a prestigious luxury residential development in Central London.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a qualified engineer who enjoys carrying out reactive maintenance while overseeing the day-to-day engineering operation. You will lead by example, ensuring the highest standards of service are delivered to residents while managing contractors and supporting the wider building operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day engineering operation.
- Carry out reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and diagnostics across the building.
- Supervise and coordinate specialist contractors and maintenance works.
- Manage two on-site subcontracted Residence Engineers and M&E contractors.
- Plan, organise and monitor preventative maintenance programmes.
- Ensure all statutory compliance and health & safety requirements are met.
- Maintain excellent communication with residents, contractors and the building management team.
- Support the General Manager with engineering operations and service delivery.
- Participate in the weekend duty management rota with the other Team Leaders.
Requirements
- Proven engineering experience within luxury residential, 5-star hotel or high-end commercial environments.
- HVAC qualification.
- BMS knowledge and experience.
- Plumbing qualification.
- Electrical qualifications are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of swimming pool plant would be advantageous
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Comfortable remaining hands-on while leading the engineering function.
Salary & Benefits
- £37,000 - £43,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
- 5.6 weeks' annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays).
