About the job Performance Operations Manager

Performance Operations Manager

The opportunity

Our client, one of Ireland's biggest names in digital publishing, is scaling up its performance advertising arm and wants someone who can straddle both sides of the business: winning new revenue and keeping the engine of live campaigns running smoothly. It's a role built for someone who doesn't want to choose between sales and operations, because here you'll do both.

You'll report into the Head of Performance and work hand in hand with agency and direct sales teams, but the operational side is just as central: you'll be accountable for how campaigns actually perform once they're live, and for building the partner relationships that help new products land.

Winning and growing business

  • A concentrated focus on the motoring sector, with scope into other agreed verticals
  • Developing and nurturing relationships across agencies, key accounts, and industry contacts
  • Closing revenue and hitting targets by educating the market on what's on offer
  • Passing client and market intelligence back into the business to sharpen positioning
  • Driving adoption of existing products while spotting where new ones could land
  • Working alongside commercial teams to open up fresh opportunities

Keeping campaigns on track

  • Owning the resolution of any delivery, performance, or technical hiccups
  • Managing setup and trafficking so campaigns launch accurately and on time
  • Partnering with Ad Operations on assets and production needs
  • Tracking display, native, and video performance from launch to completion
  • Fine tuning live campaigns to squeeze out the best results for clients

Insight and innovation

  • Contributing to the testing and rollout of new performance products
  • Building out regular reporting across campaigns and partnerships
  • Overseeing third party reporting and pixel setup for first party data
  • Feeding campaign learnings and client feedback into future product thinking
  • Supporting forecasting and operational planning across inventory

What you'll bring

  • A natural troubleshooter who takes ownership of problems until they're solved
  • Good grounding in digital advertising and online publishing
  • Comfort building rapport with clients, agencies, and industry contacts alike
  • Strong analytical instincts, able to turn data into next steps
  • Familiarity with Google Ad Manager and Google Analytics
  • Confident written and spoken communication
  • A steady hand under pressure, managing several things at once against tight deadlines
  • Sound administrative and organisational habits
  • Comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets
