Our client is a leading media company based in Dublin city, Ireland. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join their dynamic team.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will lead the development and management of data pipelines across the full data lifecycle ingestion, engineering, analytics, and business intelligence. Your primary focus will be building reusable data products from raw sources and transforming data into actionable insights to support key business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Engineering & Integration

    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines.

    • Ingest and integrate data from diverse sources into BigQuery and Azure platforms.

    • Leverage APIs to import clean, timely data into core data platforms.

    • Ensure efficient storage, management, and architecture of data assets.

    • Act as the lead engineer for data migration projects.

  • Data Analysis & Insights

    • Translate raw data into metrics, dashboards, and reusable data products.

    • Work closely with analytics teams to contextualize the performance of web, app, and mobile platforms.

    • Support the business with data-driven insights to enhance subscriptions, engagement, monetization, and retention.

  • Collaboration & Leadership

    • Work cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Represent data insights visually in accessible, meaningful ways.

    • Assist with requirement gathering, especially from non-technical teams.

    • Support the Head of Data & Analytics in designing data flow strategies.

  • Governance & Compliance

    • Act as the administrative gatekeeper for data from primary digital platforms.

    • Champion data compliance, governance, and architectural best practices.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in a relevant field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a data engineering or analytics role.

  • Proven experience working within data teams and handling complex datasets.


Technical Skills:

  • SQL & Python proficiency.

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (especially BigQuery), Azure, and data storage design.

  • Strong understanding of web/app data tracking and analytics (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics).

  • Skilled in API integration and data transformation.

  • Familiarity with web analytics tools and JavaScript (desirable).

Salary from 75,000 - 80,000
