THE ROLE
A leading international mineral processing engineering and manufacturing firm are currently searching for a Project Development Manager to assist their Australian growth plans. The position will take on a key role in the business development team, shepherding projects from inquiry to hand-off to the bids team. With a strong pipeline of leads coming into the business, this role will be primarily focused on building relationships with client leaders, developing a deep understanding of their requirements, and developing a clear scope of work with the internal team. As the projects progress through their lifecycle, the Project Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the project is effectively handed over to the bid team, ensuring the highest chance of a successful bid for the work.

THE PERSON
To be a success in this role the ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in mining project management, ideally in mineral sands or iron ore processing. You will have a strong understanding of how to manage the expectations of both internal and external teams, while providing guidance and support to drive the project forward. You will be someone who is excited to learn and build new relationships, and is capable of developing strategic plans for delivering win-win project outcomes. Previous experience with scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility and ECI studies would be a huge benefit for this position.

The company is flexible on your final location, which could be Perth, Adelaide or the Gold Coast with some domestic Australian travel required.
