Healthcare Compliance Specialist - Behavioral Health (Contract) - Atlanta, GA

Engagement: Independent contractor, 1099. Rate range: $75-150/hr engaged OR $5-15K per CARF survey prep. Location: Remote with state focus (NC, SC, GA, TN, FL). Reports to: HR Advisory Division Lead.

TWF serves behavioral health, mental health, and human services providers across the Southeast. CARF, HRSA, Medicaid SPA, CMS Conditions of Participation, 42 CFR Part 2 - these are not buzzwords for our clients. They are existential. We need compliance specialists who can walk a CMHC through a CARF survey, prep a FQHC for HRSA grantee reporting, or audit a BH system's supervision compliance with clinical credibility.

Who we want

BH compliance specialists with one or more of: former CARF surveyor experience, HRSA program officer background, Medicaid SPA practitioner work, CMS CoP review work, or 5+ years senior compliance at a CMHC/FQHC/IDD agency. CHC, CCS-P, or equivalent credential preferred. Comfortable working across state regulatory frameworks in NC, SC, GA, TN, FL.

• CARF survey preparation for client systems
• HRSA grantee reporting and compliance review
• Medicaid SPA mechanics and state plan amendment work
• CMS Conditions of Participation gap analysis
• 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality protocol design
• Clinical supervision regulatory compliance audits

Engagement structure

$0 retained. $75-150/hr when engaged on client work. $5-15K per CARF survey prep (project-based). Annual maintenance retainer available for sticky client relationships. Referral fee available for sourced clients.
