Job Title: Data Engineer
Reporting to: Head of Platform & Operations
Main Purpose of Role
This position is a key member of the Technical Customer Operations team. We are looking for a Data Engineer, specializing in data modeling, ETL processes, and cloud-based data solutions. This position requires expertise in Snowflake, Azure, and Power BI, with a strong focus on building semantic models and supporting analytics.

Our technology platform is tailored for Consumer Goods professionals, offering flexibility and scalability. We collaborate closely with clients to achieve their desired results, covering Retail, Out of Home, E-Commerce, and Field Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- ETL Pipelines: Design and optimize ETL pipelines in Snowflake and Azure Data Factory to streamline data integration and transformation.
- Data Models: Build and manage semantic data models in Snowflake and Power BI to support scalable, user-friendly analytics and reporting.
- Automation: Develop Snowflake stored procedures using Python to automate workflows and handle complex data transformations.
- Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity and accessibility within Snowflake to support effective data warehousing operations.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with analytics and business teams to align data models with reporting needs and business goals.
Qualifications:
This role is ideal for a self-driven Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake, Azure, Power BI, and Python, ready to support large-scale, retail-focused data initiatives.
- Experience: Strong background in Data Engineering, focusing on data modeling, ETL, and Snowflake.
- Skills: Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing, including semantic modeling and Python-based stored procedures.
- Azure: Experience with Azure Data Factory and related Azure services.
- Power BI: Hands-on experience with Power BI for creating and managing semantic models to enable business intelligence.
- SQL: Advanced SQL skills, with expertise in query optimization and complex data transformations.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Desirable: Experience working in the retail domain and handling retail data models.
