ROLE PURPOSE

People Avenue is building a vetted talent pool of Graphic Designers to support current and future clients across Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Selected candidates will be engaged on a project or retainer basis as client demand scales. This is not an immediate placement — you are being considered for active deployment when a matched opportunity arises.

The ideal candidate is a versatile, execution-focused creative who can produce polished, brand-consistent visual content across multiple formats — without needing extensive direction on every deliverable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Static Social Media Content

  • Design static social media posts for platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X/Twitter

  • Adapt visuals to platform-specific specs, aspect ratios, and audience conventions (AU/UK/US market awareness)

  • Maintain brand consistency across templates while producing fresh, scroll-stopping creative

  • Resize and reformat existing assets for multi-platform publishing campaigns

Short-Form Video & Motion

  • Edit short-form video content for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn video

  • Add text overlays, motion graphics, transitions, and B-roll to existing footage

  • Sync audio, music, and sound design to video pacing and messaging

  • Produce video thumbnails and supporting static assets for each video deliverable

Presentations & Pitch Decks

  • Build and design branded PowerPoint or Google Slides decks for client pitches, proposals, and reports

  • Structure slide layouts for clarity and visual hierarchy — not just decoration

  • Translate data, bullet points, and rough copy into polished, presentation-ready slides

  • Apply client brand guidelines (fonts, colors, logo placement) with precision

Brand & Asset Management

  • Maintain organized asset libraries and version-controlled design files

  • Produce reusable templates for recurring client content needs

  • Follow brand guidelines strictly and flag inconsistencies when noticed

  • Prepare print-ready and web-optimized exports in appropriate file formats

Client Collaboration & Execution

  • Work from creative briefs, feedback notes, and brand decks with minimal revision cycles

  • Communicate turnaround timelines clearly and flag blockers early

  • Incorporate feedback efficiently without losing creative quality

  • Coordinate with People Avenue's internal team and client stakeholders as directed


KEY METRICS & SUCCESS INDICATORS

  • Deliverables submitted on time with fewer than two revision rounds per project

  • Brand consistency rated satisfactory or higher by client stakeholders

  • Proactive communication — no missed deadlines without prior notice

  • Ability to manage simultaneous deliverables across content types without quality drop

  • Positive client feedback on responsiveness and creative quality

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Minimum 2 years of professional graphic design experience (agency, in-house, or freelance)

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (Premiere Pro a plus)

  • Experience with Canva Pro for template-based and rapid turnaround content

  • Demonstrated portfolio covering static social media, presentations, and video editing

  • Reliable internet connection and a capable workstation for file-heavy creative work

Preferred

  • Experience working with AU, UK, or US-based clients or brands

  • Familiarity with motion graphics tools — After Effects, CapCut, or similar

  • Understanding of social media best practices across platform types and markets

  • Google Slides design proficiency for presentation-heavy accounts

  • Background in recruitment, professional services, or B2B creative — a definite plus
