Job Title: Data Engineer III [Senior Data Engineer]

Location: Tulsa, OK (Fully Onsite)

Salary Range: $125,000-$145,000

Overview:

We are assisting a large enterprise company here in Tulsa with finding a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join their team. This role is essential for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and business intelligence models. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with extensive experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, SQL, and PySpark.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development:

    • Design and implement automated data pipelines to extract, cleanse, and transform data for business use.
    • Connect to diverse data sources such as flat files, DB2, SQL Server, and API calls to ensure data suitability and integration.
  • Data Quality and Monitoring:

    • Develop automated processes for data quality monitoring and alerts.
    • Consolidate diverse data sources into a single source of truth for various business entities.
  • Business Intelligence:

    • Model and publish data sets for user access through reporting and business intelligence technologies.
    • Utilize ETL, T-SQL, data profiling, MDM tools, SSAS, and Power BI for data modeling and analysis.
  • Technical Leadership:

    • Lead efforts in designing scalable and flexible data solutions that meet business needs and adhere to standards.
    • Act as a technical owner of specific software products, ensuring technological performance and managing technical debt.
  • Support and Troubleshooting:

    • Provide 24x7 technical support to resolve data-related issues and develop solutions to minimize recurrence.
    • Document support processes and gather feedback to enhance product development and user satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Required:

    • 5-8 years of progressive experience in programming complex data solutions.
    • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, SQL, and PySpark.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with various IT concepts and practices.
  • Preferred:

    • Experience with SSIS, Python, and Azure Synapse.
    • Knowledge of additional programming languages and data tools used in the industry.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, or related discipline preferred.
