Overview:
We are assisting a large enterprise company here in Tulsa with finding a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join their team. This role is essential for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and business intelligence models. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with extensive experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, SQL, and PySpark.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Development:
- Design and implement automated data pipelines to extract, cleanse, and transform data for business use.
- Connect to diverse data sources such as flat files, DB2, SQL Server, and API calls to ensure data suitability and integration.
- Data Quality and Monitoring:
- Develop automated processes for data quality monitoring and alerts.
- Consolidate diverse data sources into a single source of truth for various business entities.
- Business Intelligence:
- Model and publish data sets for user access through reporting and business intelligence technologies.
- Utilize ETL, T-SQL, data profiling, MDM tools, SSAS, and Power BI for data modeling and analysis.
- Technical Leadership:
- Lead efforts in designing scalable and flexible data solutions that meet business needs and adhere to standards.
- Act as a technical owner of specific software products, ensuring technological performance and managing technical debt.
- Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide 24x7 technical support to resolve data-related issues and develop solutions to minimize recurrence.
- Document support processes and gather feedback to enhance product development and user satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in programming complex data solutions.
- Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, SQL, and PySpark.
- Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with various IT concepts and practices.
- Preferred:
- Experience with SSIS, Python, and Azure Synapse.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages and data tools used in the industry.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team using repeatable processes and standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, or related discipline preferred.
