Position Overview

The Chief Partnerships Officer is responsible for developing, managing, and scaling the organization's strategic partnerships ecosystem. This includes alliances, channel partnerships, joint ventures, ecosystem relationships, and strategic collaborations that drive revenue growth, market expansion, and long-term value creation. The role is highly cross-functional and focuses on building win-win partnerships that accelerate business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Strategy & Growth

Develop and execute the organization's global partnerships strategy.

Identify high-value partnership opportunities that support revenue and market expansion goals.

Build scalable partnership models across industries, regions, and customer segments.

Strategic Alliances & Ecosystem Development

Establish and manage strategic alliances with corporates, fintechs, banks, platforms, and industry players.

Develop joint go-to-market strategies with partners.

Build and expand ecosystem relationships that enhance product and service offerings.

Revenue Generation Through Partnerships

Drive revenue growth through referral programs, channel partnerships, and co-selling arrangements.

Negotiate commercial agreements, revenue-sharing models, and partnership contracts.

Ensure partnerships contribute directly to measurable business outcomes.

Partner Acquisition & Relationship Management

Identify, evaluate, and onboard new strategic partners.

Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key partners and stakeholders.

Serve as the executive sponsor for top-tier partnerships.

Contract Negotiation & Deal Structuring

Lead negotiation of partnership agreements, SLAs, and commercial terms.

Ensure agreements align with legal, compliance, and business objectives.

Work closely with legal and finance teams during contract execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, operations, and technology teams.

Align partnership initiatives with overall business and product strategy.

Ensure smooth execution of partner-led initiatives across departments.

Market Expansion & Business Development

Identify new markets and geographies through strategic partnerships.

Support international expansion initiatives via local and global partners.

Leverage partnerships to accelerate customer acquisition and penetration.

Performance Management & Reporting

Define KPIs for partnership performance including revenue contribution, engagement, and growth.

Monitor and report partnership effectiveness to executive leadership.

Optimize underperforming partnerships and scale successful ones.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead and mentor partnership, alliance, and business development teams.

Build a high-performance, relationship-driven partnerships organization.

Foster a culture of collaboration, negotiation excellence, and strategic thinking.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.

12–15+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, alliances, or strategic sales roles.

Proven track record of building and scaling strategic partnerships that drive revenue.

Experience working with enterprise clients, ecosystems, or global partners.
