Duties and Responsibilities



Planning

  • Prepares test plans that support all testing cycles of assigned Applications.

Execution

  • Participate in product walk-throughs, gap analyses, training, and other sessions with team members and solution providers to understand the targeted solution.
  • Estimates test planning, preparations, execution, and evaluation efforts using proven methodologies.
  • Review business requirements documents, software manuals, and other documentation and prepare test plans.
  • Gives direction to the test team for the preparation of test cases and ensures that test cases are mapped to the requirements.
  • Provides the business analyst with inputs for the updating of the traceability matrix.
  • Organize the test team to execute the testing work package for the project.
  • Ensures user roles are tested.
  • Manages the daily variance triage meetings and maintains up-to-date issue logs.
  • Routes variances to the technical teams and other persons and raises timely escalations.
  • Prepares test exit report and obtains sign-off on all completed testing cycles.
  • Ensures that the user acceptance test team is comprised of a sufficiently diverse user set that can assure that the application is fit for use.
  • Assists with preparations of the test environments as required by the Technical Lead and provides feedback to the Technical Lead or his/her designate regarding system performance and in support of optimization.
  • Verifies the accuracy of product manuals provided by vendors and forwards discrepancies to them to address.
  • Obtains sign-off for deliverables as directed by the project manager.
  • Attends project meetings providing updates on assigned tasks and suggests tasks for inclusion in the project activities.
  • Provide first-level support for users during the project's warranty phase.
  • Provides inputs for collation of Lessons Learned.
  • Performs other duties commensurate with the role for the efficient execution of project initiatives.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Provide a monthly report of accomplishments for the period and plans for the next period to the Project Manager.
  • Maintains accurate and comprehensive documentation for all assignments ensuring access to and efficient retrieval of information as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Banking, Finance or related discipline.
  • Certification in Project Management
  • Sound knowledge of Banking and Accounting concepts and procedures including reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of Banking, Investment Management, and General Ledger Accounting software programs.
  • Proficiency in documentation of system requirements
    Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Two (2) years progressive experience in a similar position.
