Position: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
The Business Development Officer is responsible for overseeing the implementation of business development strategies to heighten company profitability. Their duties include identifying business opportunities to pursue and creating business proposals to support their ideas.
Responsibilities:
Leading the charge on market research plans to identify new opportunities
Working with executives to implement marketing strategies and new opportunities
Encouraging new and existing clients by creating and improving proposals
Tracking expenses and maintaining the company budget
Ensuring that the company meets revenue targets
Providing training and mentoring to other members of the team
Developing and pitching ideas for potential investors
Business strategy
BDOs will develop new business strategies based on market research to increase sales and profits.
Communication
BDOs will use their communication skills to promote good relationships with clients, business partners, and their team. They will also communicate potential changes with shareholders and other business leaders.
Marketing
BDOs will use marketing skills to promote the brand, understand competition, identify new target clients, and generate awareness about the brand.
Business development planning
BDOs will plan and strategize extensively, establishing brands, designing and executing campaigns, and more.
Qualifications for Business Development Officer
Bachelor's degree in business administration/ management or marketing.
Must be Computer literate and Technology savvy
2 years' experience working in a business development or Marketing role
Capability of prioritizing and delegating responsibilities
An understanding of how to interpret P&L, Earnings, and Inventory reports
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel in order to see clients, explore new markets and attend conventions
Excellent eye for detail
