System Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Systems Administrator Kingston Jamaica (in office) -

We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, passionate system Administrator.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
• Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
• Identify system requirements and install upgrades
• Identify cyber security threats
• Schedule and manage regular backups to prevent data loss
• Ensure data integrity by periodically testing restore processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system problems to minimize downtime
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
• Providing technical support to users
• Create, modify and delete user accounts as needed - emails, addition to intranet systems, PBX
• Test and deploy patches to minimize disruption to users.
• Liaising with Group IT team to resolve issues
• Liaising with the vendors to resolve issues
• Supporting IT Admin related tasks in other branches

Qualifications:

BSc. Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology / Computer or Electronic Engineering, and CRISCO A+

5 CSEC O'Levels passes inclusive of computer technology, Mathematics and Information Technology

2-3 year working experience in a similar role
