Cloud Engineer (REMOTE)

Job Title: Cloud Engineer

Role Purpose

Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure aligned with enterprise banking standards, security requirements, and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure environments across public and hybrid cloud platforms
• Implement and enforce cloud security, governance, and compliance controls in line with enterprise and regulatory standards
• Monitor, optimize, and continuously improve cloud performance, availability, and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with application, security, and DevOps teams to support cloud-based solutions and migrations
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure system stability
• Maintain documentation for cloud architectures, configurations, and operational procedures

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, or platform engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, compute, storage, and identity management concepts
• Experience implementing security controls within cloud environments, preferably in financial services
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in enterprise, regulated environments
• Experience supporting high-availability and mission-critical systems

Nice to Have

• Experience within banking or financial services environments
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
• Familiarity with cost management, monitoring, and optimization tools
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications)
