Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Accountant to manage the company's financial operations and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, supporting reporting and compliance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

  • Manage all financial transactions, including payments, expenses, bank deposits, and budgeting
  • Prepare and process invoices and POS transactions on a daily basis
  • Record and manage accounts payable and receivable using QuickBooks
  • Monitor bank and credit card activities and update the general ledger accordingly
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly journal entries (e.g., depreciation, interest income/expense)
  • Maintain fixed asset and software registers
  • Manage payable and receivable schedules, including special payment arrangement
  • Prepare monthly payroll and GCT schedules.
  • Generate weekly cash flow statements and monthly management reports
  • Prepare financial reports, including:
    • Receivables and payables reports
    • Budget reports
    • Sales commission reports
    • Engineering project revenue reports
  • Conduct financial modelling and analytics as required by management

Compliance & External Liaison

  • Liaise with Accounting and Tax Consultants and external stakeholders (e.g., banks, TAJ, and other regulatory bodies)
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable regulations

Administrative Functions

  • Manage office administration, including information distribution and stationery procurement
  • Handle incoming calls, messages, and client interactions professionally
  • Maintain HR and employee records with strict confidentiality
  • Organize and store documents and CVs using Dropbox for easy retrieval
  • Provide administrative support to the Management Team (CEO, HR, Business Development, Finance)

Team Leadership & Support

  • Supervise and provide oversight to the Finance and Administrative team
  • Coordinate with outsourced accounting partners
  • Provide ad hoc support outside standard working hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM GMT -5), as required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and administrative tools
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and payroll processing
  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting is an asset
  • Willingness to sign a non-compete agreement
  • Comfortable working in a DaaS (virtual desktop) environment
