The Civi Group has partnered with one of the leading General Contracting Company in New Hampshire on their search for a Process Piping Estimator to work on their medium to large-scale Industrial/Commercial Construction Projects.
As the Estimator, you will handle day-to-day responsibilities related to estimating process piping construction projects. This involves conducting quantity take-offs, managing costs, facilitating communication, overseeing budgeting, performing field take-offs, liaising with construction teams and subcontractors, preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) specific to process piping needs, and analyzing bids for accuracy and competitiveness.

Job Title: Estimator (Process Piping)
Project Types: Heavy Industrial and Commercial
Compensation:
- Salary: Up to approximately $125K based on experience
- Benefits: Includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and the opportunity for performance-based bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the scope of work for estimates and bid preparation, focusing on process piping systems.
- Utilize estimating software to conduct accurate quantity take-offs specific to process piping projects.
- Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), specifications, and basis of design to ensure precise project scoping for process piping construction.
- Collaborate with the project team to coordinate estimates and meet submission deadlines effectively.
- Interpret process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to understand system requirements and accurately estimate material quantities.
- Evaluate piping material specifications, including material types, sizes, and grades, to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Review piping system layouts and installation drawings to identify potential constructability issues and provide input for cost-effective solutions.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and availability for piping materials and equipment.
Skills & Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of estimating and take-off experience, with a focus on process piping systems.
- Candidate must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and provide a professional level of communication.
- Possess strong mathematical and computer skills (proficient with Microsoft Office Programs).
- Ability to work constructively in a fast pasted, team environment.
