The Civi Group has partnered with a successful WBE family-owned general contractor and construction management firm in Boston on their search for a Scheduling Engineer to work on medium to large scale construction projects.
This Scheduling Engineer will develop, coordinate, and maintain detailed schedules for medium to large-scale construction projects across multiple sectors. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely execution and delivery of project plans, focusing on the analytical and planning phases to meet all project milestones within specified timelines and budget constraints. The Scheduling Engineer will also analyze project progress and coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to adjust schedules and resolve any potential delays or issues.

Job Title: Scheduling Engineer
Project Types: Commercial, Healthcare, Residential, Institutional
Compensation:
Salary: Up to approximately $130K based on experience

Responsibilities:
- Craft both high-level summary and detailed project schedules. Continually generate and maintain baseline schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM) logic to ensure project alignment from start to finish.
- Execute monthly updates to track progress against targets and generate forward-looking schedules. Maintain vigilant oversight over project progress at both macro and micro levels.
- Regularly update schedules to reflect changes in resources and project costs, optimizing project efficiency and budget adherence.
- Engage actively in project schedule reviews during Operations Review Meetings and other relevant discussions to align strategies and address project needs.
- Facilitate the adoption and proficient use of project and scheduling software by providing necessary training and support to both office and on-site staff.
- Collaborate closely with the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Engineer to ensure that project schedules and 3D models are fully integrated, enhancing project visualization and execution.
- Help in business development and marketing efforts by preparing scheduling components of proposal presentations, including preliminary schedules and staffing plans.
Skills & Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or any related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in scheduling or project control within the construction industry, with a preference for experience in commercial or institutional projects.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage complex construction projects.
- Proficient in the use of construction project management and scheduling software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to foresee potential schedule conflicts and proactively address them.
