Overview

A nonprofit arts education organization is seeking an experience Consultant to facilitate a strategic planning process and develop a new five-year strategic plan.


Details
  • Time Commitment: ~35 hours/month
  • Contract Length:  11 months (June 2025 - April 2026)
  • Role Level & Rate: Director ($70/hour)

Responsibilities
  • Conduct prep work including review of existing strategic plans and key organizational documents
  • Create a comprehensive work plan and timeline for the strategic planning process
  • Gather and analyze input from staff, board members, committees, and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate organizational assessments to identify internal and external challenges and opportunities
  • Organize and facilitate strategic planning sessions with the board and planning committee
  • Guide the development of strategic goals, outcomes, and a detailed written plan
  • Prepare and present the final plan for review
  • Develop an implementation plan to operationalize

Role Requirements
  • Proven experience in strategic planning for nonprofit organizations (work samples must be provided)
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive organizational assessments
  • Familiarity with arts education or related fields is a plus

B/Suite Requirements for Directors
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in your area of expertise
  • Experience in leadership roles with management responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large projects

Compensation

Starting compensation for Director-level executives is $70/hour. All consultants are 1099 contractors. All executives are eligible for referral bonuses and free coaching and development.
