Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled BIOVIA Workbook and Pipeline Pilot Developer to join our team, responsible for the design, development, configuration, maintenance, and support of BIOVIA applications within our scientific and R&D environments. The ideal candidate will work closely with scientists, data engineers, and informatics teams to enhance data workflows, support digital lab initiatives, and ensure smooth operation of critical BIOVIA systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Development:

  • Design, configure, and develop solutions using BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot and BIOVIA Workbook platforms to support scientific workflows.
  • Create and maintain custom protocols, data processing pipelines, and web-based dashboards for scientists and researchers.
  • Integrate Pipeline Pilot with external systems (LIMS, ELNs, databases, analytical instruments).
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient scientific workflows.
  • Participate in solution architecture and proof-of-concept development for digital lab initiatives.

Maintenance & Support:

  • Monitor and maintain the BIOVIA environment to ensure stability and performance.
  • Perform regular system health checks, backups, patching, and upgrades in collaboration with IT infrastructure teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues, including data errors, pipeline failures, or integration problems.
  • Maintain documentation related to workflows, processes, SOPs, and change controls.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and internal quality standards (where applicable).

Collaboration & Training:

  • Act as a liaison between IT, scientific users, and third-party vendors (e.g., Dassault Systèmes).
  • Provide training and mentoring to end users on BIOVIA applications and custom protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (bioinformatics, data science, QA) to align digital solutions with business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot and BIOVIA Workbook development.
  • Experience with integration of BIOVIA platforms with enterprise systems and data sources.
  • Strong scripting/programming knowledge (JavaScript, Python, SQL, XML, REST APIs).
  • Experience working in laboratory informatics and scientific environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with other BIOVIA products such as ELN, Draw, Compose, and Scientific Components.
  • Understanding of cheminformatics, lab data management, and experimental workflows.
  • Experience in pharma, biotech, or chemical R&D environments.
  • Experience with deployment in cloud or hybrid infrastructures.
