JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting T-Ruckin Oilfield Services Ltd. in the recruitment of a full time Swamper. T-Ruckin Oilfield Services Ltd. is a growing provider of oilfield rig moving services throughout Northern Alberta and British Columbia. With locations in both Edson and Grande Prairie, we offer over 10 years of experience in oilfield rig moving, striving to develop mutually beneficial long-term relationships with our customers. The successful candidate is responsible for providing general labor support and assisting the crew in the safe and efficient movement of equipment and materials at our oilfield sites. We are looking for someone who is skilled, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering exceptional service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists equipment Operators

  • Load, unload, and organize oilfield equipment, tools and materials on trucks and trailers
  • Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of heavy equipment

  • Performs pre-operational checks and levels daily: walk around, lights and signals, linkages, oil, water, fuel, brakes, tires, and hydraulic system
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area on the well site or in the field

  • Performs light maintenance, and reports other maintenance needs to supervisor and/or mechanic on duty
  • Coordinate equipment usage with the equipment and shop supervisor

  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risk of injury or accidents
  • Complete any required logs or maintenance documents.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Class 5 driver license with air brakes endorsement

  • Valid certification as a heavy equipment operator or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years experience in operating heavy equipment

  • Eighteen years of age or older

  • Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions
  • Proper PPE
    • Fire retardant coveralls, Gloves, Hard hat, Steel toed boots, Safety glasses, Hearing protection
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and other personnel
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic

  • Current certifications an asset:
    • First Aid, WHMIS, H2S, CSO
