JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting T-Ruckin Oilfield Services Ltd. in the recruitment of a full time Winch Hand. T-Ruckin Oilfield Services Ltd. is a growing provider of oilfield rig moving services throughout Northern Alberta and British Columbia. With locations in both Edson and Grande Prairie, we offer over 10 years of experience in oilfield rig moving, striving to develop mutually beneficial long-term relationships with our customers. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the safe and efficient movement of equipment and materials at our oilfield sites. We are looking for someone who is skilled, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering exceptional service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the safe and efficient operation of winch trucks and winch equipment
  • Secure and transport various heavy equipment, materials, and supplies using winch trucks
  • Perform pre-trip inspections of winch trucks and equipment to ensure safe operation
  • Assist in the rigging and positioning of equipment for loading and unloading
  • Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures while operating winch trucks
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other personnel to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including load counts, equipment inspections, and maintenance performed
  • Assist with general maintenance and cleaning of winch trucks and equipment
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Class 1 Drivers License and a clean driving record
  • Current certifications an asset:
    • H2S, First Aid, CSO

  • Proper PPE
    • Fire retardant coveralls, Gloves, Hard hat, Steel toed boots, Safety glasses, Hearing protection
  • Previous experience as a Winch Hand or in a similar role within the oilfield industry
  • Knowledge of winch truck operations, rigging techniques, and safe load securement practices
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and other personnel
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with basic maintenance procedures and ability to troubleshoot minor issues with winch trucks
  • Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
