POSITION: HR Business Partner
JOB TYPE: Full Time
LOCATION: Grande Prairie, Alberta
WAGE: Starting at $75,000 / year (commensurate on experience)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting a client in recruiting a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for maternity leave coverage, starting the middle of July. The HRBP works in close partnership with leaders to align people strategies with business objectives. This role provides strategic HR advice, supports leadership effectiveness, and enables organizational performance while ensuring alignment with the organization’s values, governance, and policies. This role will also provide backup to the HR Generalist and Senior HR Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with leaders to assess workforce needs, organizational design, and succession planning
- Provide strategic advice on performance management, employee relations, and leadership effectiveness
- Conduct internal investigations, assess validity and provide recommended actions
- Support organizational change initiatives and culture development
- Support HR Generalist with complex disability management and/or WCB cases
- Identify people-related risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Design and implement employee/personnel programs, including succession planning, development, and training programs
- Coach leaders to build people management capability and accountability
- Conduct employee check ins and utilize data to recommend action items
REQUIREMENTS:
- Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of progressive HR experience, including strategic advisory responsibilities
- CPHR designation or working towards designation is an asset
