Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Salary: 30,000 - 38,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours:

• Option 1: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
• Option 2: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day

Weekend Work: 1 weekend in every 5 weeks, with a day off before and a day off after the weekend.

The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a great team for an independent Veterinary Hospital in Dublin. The successful candidate will be a key member of the nursing team, providing high-quality care to their patients and supporting their veterinary surgeons.

Responsibilities:

• Providing excellent nursing care to animal patients.
• Assisting veterinarians during consultations and surgical procedures.
• Monitoring anaesthesia.
• Administering medications and treatments.
• Performing diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, urinalysis).
• Taking radiographs.
• Preparing animals for surgery.
• Maintaining accurate patient records.
• Providing compassionate care to patients and their owners.
• Assisting with reception duties as needed.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Adhering to all relevant veterinary regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) and registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).
• Ideally experienced RVN but New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• A genuine passion for animal care.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Competent in all aspects of general nursing duties.
