About the job EXECUTIVE CHEF - CATERING
A leading catering and hospitality services company in Ethiopia is seeking an experienced Executive Chef with strong large-scale catering and production experience from the UAE/GCC market.
The ideal candidate must have expertise in managing high-volume food production, kitchen operations, food safety standards, team leadership, and menu development within catering, industrial, airline, camp, or institutional environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all kitchen and catering operations
- Manage large-scale food production and quality control
- Develop menus, recipes, and food cost strategies
- Ensure HACCP and international hygiene standards are maintained
- Train, motivate, and manage multicultural kitchen teams
- Monitor inventory, purchasing, and kitchen budgets
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Maintain consistency, presentation, and client satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience as Executive Chef within catering operations
- UAE/GCC experience is mandatory
- Strong background in bulk production and high-volume kitchens
- Experience in industrial, corporate, airline, camp, or institutional catering preferred
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety systems
- Ability to manage multicultural teams and fast-paced operations
