About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Clinician (ICU) to provide advanced clinical expertise and professional leadership within the Intensive Care Unit. The incumbent will play a key role in enhancing nursing standards, supporting evidence-based practice, driving quality improvement initiatives, and developing nursing competencies to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced clinical nursing expertise and consultation for complex critical care cases.
  • Lead and support evidence-based nursing practices within the ICU.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes and care delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical care protocols, guidelines, and nursing standards.
  • Mentor, coach, and support nursing staff in clinical competency development and professional growth.
  • Facilitate education programmes, training sessions, and competency assessments for ICU nurses.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes, identifying opportunities for service enhancement.
  • Support research activities and promote best practices in critical care nursing.
  • Serve as a clinical resource person for nursing and allied healthcare teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in Nursing or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Advanced Nursing Diploma in Critical Care Nursing or equivalent is required.
  • Registered Nurse with a valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) registration.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
  • Extensive experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing.
  • Strong clinical leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Experience in quality improvement, clinical education, and evidence-based practice initiatives will be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Working Hours

  • 5-day work week (Monday to Friday).
  • Staggered office hours:

    • 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, or
    • 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours when required by operational needs.
  • Must be open to working at least one weekend per month, subject to operational requirements.
