Job Summary:
Oversee the daily operations of therapy centers, including managing a full patient caseload, ensuring adherence to company policies, and maintaining financial and regulatory compliance. Drive sales and marketing initiatives with current and potential referral sources.
Required Credentials
- Graduation from, or current enrollment in, a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist assistant or physical therapist program. International graduates from non-CAPTE accredited programs must have a substantially equivalent education.
- A current, valid state license, registration, or certification is required, or candidates must be in the process of obtaining one.
Key Responsibilities - Management:
· Foster a positive work environment aligned with the company's mission and vision to enhance team morale, retention, and job satisfaction.
· Handle employee relations, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and collaborate with Human Resources as needed.
· Contribute to the development of center budgets and strategic plans, including marketing and sales strategies for referral growth.
· Maintain strong relationships with physicians and payers, ensuring smooth implementation of clinical specialty programs.
· Ensure the centers financial health by analyzing performance metrics and addressing underperformance.
· Manage staff PTO, payroll, and time sheets promptly.
· Oversee clinical staff to ensure quality care, providing professional development opportunities and recommending staff recognition.
· Manage patient caseloads effectively using available reporting tools.
· Ensure appropriate staffing levels and productivity using the companys productivity matrix.
· Conduct staff training, orientation, and performance reviews.
· Maintain clinic appearance and cleanliness standards.
· Attend bi-weekly meetings with completed agendas, actively participating.
· Approve supply orders and manage costs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities - Compliance:
· Ensure all company, local, state, and federal regulations and standards are met, including Medicare Rehab Agency Conditions.
· Keep employee files updated with required certifications, licenses, and vaccinations.
· Participate in annual patient care and quality improvement meetings and audits, creating action plans for non-compliant areas.
· Ensure accurate completion of clinic maintenance logs and compliance training.
· Oversee annual equipment calibration and emergency preparedness activities.
Key Responsibilities - Patient Care:
· Adhere to state regulations for physical or occupational therapy services.
· Evaluate, treat, and delegate skilled interventions, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of goals and medical necessity.
· Maintain open, respectful communication with all stakeholders, including physicians, patients, and payers.
· Stay current with continuing education requirements and research unfamiliar diagnoses or procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Serve as a role model and resource for peers.
· Maintain required state licensure and CPR certification.
· Assist with general clinic maintenance and customer service duties, including answering phones and patient scheduling.
· Stay informed of changes in healthcare that affect physical therapy practice.
· Complete special projects or other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

· Sufficient speech and hearing to give and receive directions.
· Ability to perform sustained activities for extended periods.
· Capable of pushing wheeled equipment and handling diagnostic or therapeutic tools with fine motor skills.
