Business Development Manager – Oil & Gas

About the Role

We are supporting a UAE-based manpower solutions provider in its search for an experienced Business Development Manager to establish and grow its Abu Dhabi operation, with a particular focus on the Oil & Gas sector.

This is a commercially focused leadership role with responsibility for business development, workforce deployment and client collections.

The successful candidate will have an established network in Abu Dhabi, strong knowledge of the local Oil & Gas market and proven experience selling manpower, outsourcing or workforce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop and manage the company's Abu Dhabi operation.
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Identify and secure new business with operators, EPC contractors, service companies and associated supply-chain businesses.
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders across procurement, HR, operations, projects and supply chain.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, meetings, tenders, proposals, pricing, negotiation and contract closure.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence to the Head of Sales.
  • Coordinate workforce mobilisation and deployment with the recruitment, operations, visa and payroll teams.
  • Oversee client service delivery and act as the primary contact for Abu Dhabi customers.
  • Support invoicing, collections and the timely recovery of outstanding payments.
  • Represent the company at relevant industry events and networking forums.

Candidate Requirements

  • 10–15 years of relevant experience within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the Abu Dhabi market is essential.
  • Previous experience in manpower supply, outsourcing, contract staffing or workforce solutions is strongly preferred.
  • A proven record of winning and managing Oil & Gas accounts in Abu Dhabi.
  • An established network across Oil & Gas operators, EPC contractors and service companies.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, tenders and vendor-registration requirements in Abu Dhabi.
  • Experience managing sales, workforce deployment and collections within a service-led business.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of a new regional operation.
  • A valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
