ERP Project Manager

The ERP Project Manager, as part of the ERP Global Project Leadership team, will focus on global ERP deployment projects. This role requires close collaboration with Business Process Owners, Business Analysts, development teams, and IT Management to ensure projects progress according to agreed timelines and meet key success criteria. ERP platforms in scope include Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Oracle JD Edwards, and SAP. This position reports to the Global Director, Planning and Project Services and is hybrid-based out of the Kontich office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Create work breakdown structures (WBS) and allocate resources accordingly. Identify and manage project risks.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational goals, manage stakeholder expectations, and provide regular project updates.
  • Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently, including personnel, budget, and materials. Monitor utilization and make adjustments as needed.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues that may impact project scope, schedule, or budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and conduct regular reviews to maintain project quality.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring projects are delivered within budget constraints.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear and timely communication among team members and stakeholders. Prepare project status reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or resources while implementing change control processes.
  • Project Closure & Evaluation: Lead project closure activities, formalize acceptance of deliverables, and conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with ERP software (preferably Microsoft Dynamics or Oracle).
  • Strong background in ERP deployment and rollout methodologies.
  • Degree in a relevant field (Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering) required; Masters degree or professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and/or French is a major plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, intercompany, third-party distribution, and branch retail operations is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise applications, including ERP, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution & Retail, Warehouse Management, CRM, Enterprise Content Management, Financial/Corporate Performance Management, BI & Analytics, EDI, and E-commerce.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, PPM Pro).
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., ISO).

Work Authorization & Travel Requirements:

Travel is required to support global locations in Europe (up to 25%).
