Construction Assistant Superintendent

We are seeking a strong field-focused Assistant Superintendent to support on-site operations for large-scale multifamily construction project in Evansville, Indiana . This role works closely with the Superintendent to help coordinate daily field activities, maintain safety and quality standards, and keep projects moving on schedule.

Construction Assistant Superintendent Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily field operations on multifamily job sites, with an emphasis on wood-frame construction
  • Assist with subcontractor coordination, site logistics, and work sequencing
  • Help enforce jobsite safety standards, conduct safety walks, and support a strong safety culture
  • Monitor quality control and assist with inspections and punch list completion
  • Identify field issues and communicate solutions to the project team
  • Assist with site documentation, reporting, and coordination using Procore or similar software

Construction Assistant Superintendent Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on field experience
  • 5+ years of field experience on multifamily or large-scale construction projects (projects $50M+ preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of wood-frame construction and multifamily sequencing
  • Safety-focused mindset with working knowledge of OSHA standards
  • Experience creating, tracking, and closing punch lists
  • Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced field environment
  • Valid drivers license with a good driving record
  • Can pass a drug screen and background check
  • Willingness to travel within Indiana and Northern Kentucky
