Salary Range: $52,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Walker that are seeking skilled Shipping & Receiving Leads. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving personnel, fostering a productive work environment.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to optimize material flow and meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to ensure data integrity.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies within the shipping and receiving department.
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies, including damaged goods or missing shipments.
• Operate and maintain material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead and train a small team.
• Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems for inventory management and transaction processing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of shipping regulations, HAZMAT, and receiving best practices.
• Forklift certification and experience operating various material handling equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management and transaction processing.
• Forklift certification and experience operating various material handling equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor team members on shipping/receiving best practices and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs documentation.
