Salary Range: $48,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Kalamazoo that are seeking Shipping & Receiving Leads. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving personnel, fostering a productive work environment.
• Coordinate with production, inventory, and logistics to optimize material flow.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control standards.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies and issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead and train a small team.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and systems (e.g., ERP/MRP).
• Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, with current certification.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret production schedules and shipping documents.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems beyond basic data entry (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification for general industry.
• Forklift trainer certification or experience training others on powered industrial trucks.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
• Proficient in creating and maintaining inventory reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
