Salary Range: $67,000 - $100,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Lansing that are seeking Shop Foremans. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train shop personnel, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Plan, schedule, and assign work orders to optimize production efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and calibration of machinery and equipment.
• Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory of parts and supplies, initiating requisitions as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections of work-in-progress and finished products to ensure quality control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues or operational problems within the shop.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a manufacturing shop environment
• 2+ years experience in a leadership or supervisory role
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including welding, machining, and fabrication
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software for reviewing designs.
• Certification in forklift operation and safety.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
• Bilingual (e.g., Spanish/English) to communicate with a diverse workforce.
