Salary Range: $89,000 - $135,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grandville that are seeking skilled Six Sigma Black Belts. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute complex Six Sigma Black Belt projects from inception to completion, delivering significant cost savings and process improvements.
  • Mentor and coach Green Belts and other team members on Six Sigma methodologies, tools, and project management.
  • Utilize advanced statistical analysis to identify root causes of defects and develop sustainable solutions in manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, gather data, analyze results, and implement solutions across various departments.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on Six Sigma principles and tools to build organizational capability and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drive the adoption of Lean principles and practices in conjunction with Six Sigma to optimize manufacturing flow and reduce waste.
  • Present project updates, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership, demonstrating the business impact of improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) from a recognized institution (e.g., ASQ).
  • Proven track record of leading and successfully completing at least 5 complex Six Sigma projects with documented financial savings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and advanced statistical tools.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and drive cross-functional teams.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) beyond basic Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and train Green Belts or other team members in Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or equivalent experience managing complex initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and their application in manufacturing process improvement.
