Supplier Quality Engineer | Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $79,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Ludington seeking Supplier Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality management processes and procedures.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions for supplier-related quality issues using problem-solving methodologies.
• Collaborate with sourcing and engineering teams on new product introductions to assess supplier capabilities and manage risks.
• Monitor and report on key supplier quality performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Manage supplier non-conformances and disposition of discrepant material to minimize production impact.
• Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers to improve their quality systems and processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field
• 3+ years experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with supplier audits and corrective action processes (SCAR/CAPA)
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949)
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools (e.g., FMEA, PPAP, APQP)
