Salary Range: $90,000 - $137,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Grand Haven seeking Quality Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) and procedures.
• Lead and manage the quality control team, providing guidance and training.
• Oversee product inspection, testing, and release processes to ensure compliance.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
• Conduct internal and external audits to assess QMS effectiveness and compliance.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality into product development and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in quality assurance/control within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Demonstrated expertise in quality methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis).
• Proven ability to lead and develop a quality team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• ASQ certifications (e.g., CQM/OE, CSSBB) are highly desirable.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or other relevant ASQ certifications
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification
• Experience with advanced quality planning tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC)
• Demonstrated success in implementing and maintaining an ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System
• Proficiency in using data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process improvement
